First off thanks for taking the time out of your day and reading this Steve, and giving drivers the opportunity.
I began racing in 2008 at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer,Pa in the front wheel drive mini stock division. I finished 11th in my first ever race after starting 17th. I finished 9th place in my 3rd ever race.
I am a low budget racer and travel about 5 hours to race every weekend with going to college and juggling a job at the same time. I just finished college and will be relocating soon to Pennsylvania. I have never been able to afford to race a full season until this year.
Troy Lehnortt, mini stock driver had a strong 2009 season with 5 top 5's and 7 top 10's in 14 nights of racing at 3 different tracks. Lehnortt, finishing 7th place in points at Sportsman's Speedway in Knox, Pa, is planning on racing for points at Sportsman's Speedway again in 2010. I raced at Sportsman's Speedway in Knox, Pa, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pa, and 1 race at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, Pa in 2009.
If funds permit, we may do some more traveling this year. I would really like to try Sharon Speedway a few times and other tracks like, Central Pa. Speedway, Raceway 7, and Stateline Speedway. We of course will be back to Mercer Raceway Park, Tri-City Speedway and Sportsmans Speedway as well.
Currently, I have 2 top 5's and 1 top 10 at Sportsman's Speedway in 3 races. I finished 13th place 2 times at Mercer Raceway Park this year so far.
